WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) - Three women have been arrested, accused of engaging in prostitution.
Wisconsin Rapids Police Lt. Joel Flewellen said Jennifer Barger, 47, Maria C. Smith, 37, and Markesha Green, 25, were arrested after officers conducted an undercover investigation between November 30 and December 1. They say the investigation was launched due to "escort activity" being offered online.
Flewellen said the women are not from the Wisconsin Rapids area.
A request for charges has been forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney's office, according to police. They have not released any other information about the case.
