The new aquarium at the Marathon County Public Library has been unveiled. It was first revealed Wednesday afternoon.
Fish now call this 650-gallon tank home. It also features a wide variety of coral throughout. Library leaders say they plan to use the aquarium as a learning tool.
"It'll give us an opportunity than to let the children in the community develop an interest in natural science and that's really what it was about, the library should be fun, learning should be fun, and that's kind of what was the idea behind this," said Marathon County Library Director, Ralph Illick.
The aquarium cost about $35,000. Library leaders say it was all possible because of donations.
