WAUSAU (WAOW) - The first winter storm of the season has provided the first widespread snow of the season.
Preliminary snowfall reports place 9" in City Point, 8" in Marshfield, 6.75" in Scandinavia, 5.8" in Iola, 5.8" in Iola, 5" in Rome, 4.5" in Wausau, Big Flats and Rib Mountain, 4" in Abbotsford, Stettin, Stevens Point and Arkdale. 3.5" has been reported so far in Elton and Nekoosa. 2.8" has been reported in Rhinelander.
Areas in western Wisconsin have received more than a foot of snow from Sunday's storm. The National Weather Service is reporting 13" having fallen on Sunday in Eau Claire. The Minneapolis/St. Paul metro region saw varying amounts between 6 and 14".
