Mike Daniels attempts the Lambeau Leap
Mike Daniels leaps into the stands after 43-yard touchdown.WESTON (WAOW) - Last week we had one of the Packers' two 4th round picks, Jerron McMillian, on Pack Attack. This week we'll be joined by the other 2012 4th round pick, defensive end Mike Daniels.
Daniels has two sacks this year and as of Sunday a 43-yard touchdown. As Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford drew his arm back to throw midway through the second quarter and with the Lions up 14-0, the ball slipped out of his hands. Daniels was right there to scoop it up, rumbling 43 yards for the score that pulled Green Bay within 14-10. He is Green Bay's first rookie defensive lineman to return a fumble for a TD since 1941.
His Lambeau Leap needs some work, however. Daniels only managed to get about halfway up the wall, hanging there as fans pounded him on the back.
Daniels was part of the 2007 Iowa recruiting class that featured Bryan Bulaga and Dezman Moses.
The following comes from Daniels' Packers.com bio:
Join Sports Director Lauren Magiera, Bryon Graff and Mike Daniels at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Dale's Weston Lanes. You can also watch it Tuesday night at 6:30 on Newsline 9.
