VILAS COUNTY (WAOW) - Snowmobilers, start your engines. The state funded snowmobile trail system in Vilas County is opening up Monday at noon.
According to a press release from Vilas County Snowmobile Program Coordinator Dale Mayo there is minimal snow on the trails.
Riders may find rough areas, icy patches and wet segments in low-lying areas. Mayo says riders should not cross lakes until the routes are clearly marked.
