Firefighters responded to a garage fire on N. Second Ave. in Wausau.
A Wausau fire lieutenant tells Newsline 9 that the fire started around 6:30 p.m. Monday and was put out within 30 minutes.
Fire officials say the blaze started in a detached garage behind a home.
Firefighters say the garage was destroyed and a car next to the garage was badly damaged.
Fire crews tell us a neighboring home and some other surrounding buildings were damaged.
The lieutenant says firefighters were able to save a house next door by dousing it with water.
No one was hurt.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the fire.
