Officials at Sylvan Hill in Wausau are busy preparing for their opening day.
But they say they need a little more snow and their own snow making machines to get the hill up and running.
"We have to have at least 10 or 12 inches of a base down right now, so if you stepped on it now it would probably be right down to the grass so we have lots and lots of tubes that run over it should be pretty thick for that," said Scott Arambel, Assistant Manager at Sylvan Hill.
Sylvan Hill is scheduled to open for the season Friday night at six, if the weather cooperates.
