A Weston strip mall that went up in flames over the weekend, suffered additional damage.
Officials say the fire rekindled shortly after 11:00 p.m. Monday, at the business complex on Stone Ridge Drive.Saturday's fire caused more than a million dollars in damage, and destroyed three connected buildings before it caught fire again.
The Weston Fire Chief says what happened isn't uncommon.
"It simply rekindled because of all the collapse and all of the hot embers that were trapped underneath the collapse, and just took this long for it to reach the point where it ignited the lumber that was on the ground," said Weston Fire Chief Steve Meilahn.
Officials put the blaze out in about an hour. They say no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
