Wausau East teachers shave heads for a cause

The clippers and the scissors came out at Wausau East High School today.

Two teachers got a haircut all for a good cause.

Students raised money for leukemia and lymphoma awareness.

The teachers said if they students reached their goal, the teachers would shave their heads.

“It was just an incentive to help the kids have a tangible reward, and I think it was an exciting experience for them, and we’ll see how cold I am this winter from it," said Rob Perkins, band director.

The goal was 2,500 dollars.

They were just a hair short of that, but the teachers decided to get the buzz cuts anyway.
