YWCA receives hundreds of pajamas

Some local children are getting an early, comfortable Christmas gift this holiday season.

the YWCA in Wausau received 278 pairs of pajamas Tuesday, all thanks to the Pajama Program.

Students from Holy Rosary Catholic School in Medford participated in the program by collecting the pajamas.

5th graders dropped them off to the YWCA to spread the holiday cheer to young children.

"It's important that every child feel good as they lay their head down to go to sleep and the pajamas is a cozy comfy gesture," said Susan Krolow, the Child Development Center Director.

Krolow says she hopes to distribute the pajamas to the children by the end of this week.
