Granite Peak is attracting a lot of out-of-towners this week to enjoy the slopes.
Workers have been making snow there to get as many of the runs open as possible for the busy Christmas season.
Ski officials say they anticipate more runs opening this week.
Some families say they make coming to Granite Peak a yearly tradition.
“We came here 2, 3 years ago, and it snowed a bunch. We got to go woods skiing for the first time, and we were just hooked on it. So, every year, we come back for Christmas. It’s just the best present ever,” said Mitch Ternes of Chicago.
Granite Peak officials say they hope to open as many as 12 new runs in the next few days.
