The Adams County Sheriff's Office is investigating an attempted armed robbery.

Deputies say it happened on December 18 at a home on 10th Avenue in the township of Preston.

Investigators say a man, armed with a knife, entered the home after forcing entry through the front door.

According to sheriff's officials, the suspects held the people in the home at knife point and demanded money.

When the victims told him they did not have any money, the suspect left.

No one was hurt.

The suspect is a white man, about 5'11 and over 200 pounds with brown eyes between the ages of late 20's to mid 30's. He was wearing a plaid flannel jacket with dark/ neutral colors, a stocking hat and a bandana covering his face.
