The Rose Garden banquet hall in Wausau is set to close.
Company officials say they will continue with the catering side of the business, but they will no longer hold events.
They say changing the business structure after almost 20 years is the right decision to help meet their customers' needs.
"Yes it was a hard decision to make because it is 19 years that we've been doing this but business wise this is the best decision that we can make to serve our customers better," said Event Director Corrie Merklein.
Company officials plan to close the ballroom by the end of January. They say they don't know what will happen to the space, but the new catering business will be located on Sherman St.
