Some snowmobile trails in Marathon County will open at noon Monday.

The Marathon County Snowmobile/ATV Coordinator says trails in the NE zone will be opening.

That zone includes trails north of Highway 29 and east of Interstate 39.

Officials say the trails will open to snowmobiles only. ATVs will not be allowed on the trails in the NE zone until January 11th.

Trails in the NW, SE, and SW zones are still closed.

Marathon County officials urge riders to be cautious because trails conditions are fair to poor right now.
