Apolar plunge in Nekoosa Tuesday afternoon raised money for a goodcause.
About55 people gathered to jump into the ice-cold water. The eventbenefits the Children's Miracle Network. Since 1998, it's raised morethan $200,000 for the organization.
“Welove having the bystanders come and cheer people on,” said IileePederson, annual giving coordinator for CMN. "I think thatreally makes a difference when people are jumping. So we definitelydid have a big crowd and hopefully next year we'll have even morejumpers as well.”
