Broadway performer helps students prepare for show

An accomplished Broadway performer is lending his talents to a group of area students putting on a production of "Les Miserables."

About 75 high school performers will take the stage later this month, but this week, actor Adam Jacobs is helping them work on their parts and block different musical numbers.

He performed in "Les Miserables" on Broadway in New York City and has ties to Wausau. His wife is from the area.

He said he's happy to help the students improve their performance.

"It feels good. Its feels really good to be able to give back and to share my knowledge and my experiences with them and help them tell the story in the best way that they can," Jacobs said.

This production of "Les Miserables" will hit the stage starting January 31. It's being organized by the Central Wisconsin Educational Theatre Alliance.
