Driver and animal walk away after cow struck in Lincoln County

LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW) - The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department reports that a driver hit a cow wandering in the Town of Pine River. It happened just after 7:00 p.m. on County Road W near Alpine Road.

According to a report, the 32-year-old Merrill driver struck the cow causing it to tip over onto the hood of the vehicle.

The driver was not injured and although the car and cow were damaged, both were able to leave the scene on their own.

According a lieutenant at the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, the animal owner will be cited for animal roaming at large.
