Wis. Rapids house fire displaces family


A house fire broke out in Wisconsin Rapids early Tuesday morning, leaving a family without a home and destroying their belongings.

It happened on the 1000 block of 14th Street South. Fire officials say the house is still standing, but the inside was destroyed.

The family was inside sleeping when the fire started. No one was hurt.

Crews battled the blaze for two hours. The cause is still under investigation.
