RIB MOUNTAIN (WAOW) - Thousands were without power in the Wausau area for about ten minutes Thursday afternoon.
According to Wisconsin Public Service 2,176 customers lost power just after 2:00 p.m., many in the Rib Mountain area.
WPS reports that equipment is to blame for the outage.
