WAUSAU (WAOW) -
Wausau middle school students got a taste of college life. Hundreds of students took part in "Think College Days."
It's a program giving them a look at life after high school. Seventh graders got to check out different classrooms and dorms at UW-Marathon County.
Campus leaders say this age is the perfect time to introduce students to college life.
"We want to get that into their minds now, so they start preparing for it, so they start looking at what do I want to be when I get out of school? Where do I want to go? What are my goals?," Vickie Richmond Hawkins, UW-Marathon County Director of Continuing Education, said.
"Think College Days" organizers hope to expand this program. Six and eighth graders could soon be headed to campuses as well.
