UPDATE: Weather a factor in Marathon Co. crash

Posted:

Marathon County Sheriff's Department officials say road conditions were a factor in a Friday afternoon crash.

It happened just after 12:15 p.m. in the town of Hewitt on Highway 52.

A woman and man, both from Antigo, were driving west bound when they lost control of their car. The vehicle went off the road, struck a culvert and then a utility pole.

Officials say the woman was transported to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt. A patrol lieutenant tells Newsline 9 the man had possible injuries, which means they weren't apparent, but he was complaining of pain.

A Marathon County Sheriff's Department Lieutenant says no citations have been issued.
