According to reports from The National Weather Service and ASOS sites wind gusts have topped 50 mph in parts of Central Wisconsin this weekend.
ASOS stands for Automated Surface Observing Systems, they provide weather observations for locations around the state.
As of 10:40 a.m. Sunday morning, wind gusts on Saturday night were recorded at 54 mph in Marshfield, 53 mph in Mosinee and Pittsville, 49 mph at the Wausau Downtown Airport, Rothschild and Weston, 47 mph in Antigo, 46 mph in Stevens Point and Necedah, 45 mph in Clintonville, and 41 mph in Rhinelander.
A 54 mph gust was recorded Saturday night in Waupaca and a 53 mph gust was recorded in Manitowoc.
