LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW) -

A 22-year-old woman from Saukville is in critical condition after a rollover crash in Lincoln County.

Authorities say it happened sometime early Sunday morning in the town of Schley on County Road C just west of County Road X.

When a Lincoln Co. deputy arrived on the scene he found the driver, Kristie M. Poncek, had been ejected from the vehicle.

Poncek was transported by Merrill EMS to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center where the Spirit Helicopter was waiting.

From there, she was flown to the trauma center at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Deputies do not know when the crash happened but say Poncek's condition was made worse by last night's frigid temperatures.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
