Boylan lobbies for Jennings, Ellis as All-Stars

MILWAUKEE (AP) -

Milwaukee Bucks coach Jim Boylan is lobbying for guards Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis to make the All-Star team.

   A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report says coaches can't vote for their own players, but they can lobby for them. Conference coaches vote for three frontcourt players, two guards and two wild-card choices.

   Boylan says a strong criterion for making the All-Star team should be whether the player comes from a winning team. He says the Bucks are winning, and Jennings and Ellis are strong reasons why.

   The Bucks are 21-18. They're currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, half a game behind Atlanta.

   Ellis is averaging 18.8 points per game, while Jennings averages 18.6 points.

   Players will find out Thursday who was selected.
