Pointers defeat Whitewater, 67-57, to remain unbeaten at home

UW-Stevens Point took a three-game lead in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after defeating UW-Whitewater, 67-57, at Quandt Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The game was tied at 33 at halftime and both squads took turns taking the lead.
The Warhawks made it a three-point game when KJ Evans hit a layup with 7:40 remaining. Evans finished with 14 points.
Trevor Hass took the lead with 4:31 remaining with a backdoor cut for a layup and then gave the Pointers a two-possession advantage with a three pointer. UW-Stevens Point would lead for the rest of the game.
This is the second straight victory this season over the Warhawks. The Pointers defeated Whitewater by double digits back in December.
