Thousands of people are getting excited and prepared for this weekend's Badger State Games.
Organizers said people can expect to see everything from skiing to archery.
In its 25th year, the competitions will feature special edition medals commemorating the milestone.
Organizers said they're glad to see the tradition continue.
"This is the largest winter sports festival in the state, you know, an opportunity to compete in multiple sports and celebrate the winter recreation," said Central Wi. Convention and Visitor's Bureau Executive Director, Darien Schaefer.
Organizers said this year they've seen a noticeable increase in registration.
They also said although the weather hasn't been completely cooperative, right now, all events are going forward as planned.
