Wood County Officials say a two-car crash injured several people Saturday afternoon. The crash happened on County Highway S near County Highway N.
Authorities say the 17-year-old driver of a vehicle headed eastbound failed to stop at a stop sign. They say that car and another that had been headed south on County Highway S both ended up in the ditch.
The 17-year-old was ejected from the vehicle and Wood Co. officials say another passenger had to be removed by emergency crews after the car landed on its side in the ditch.
The passenger who had been trapped was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
The drivers of both cars were taken by ambulance to the same hospital.
The Portage and Wood County Sheriff's Departments are investigating the crash since it happened at the Portage/Wood County line.
