Traffic has been restored after a train struck a car in Marathon County early Friday morning.

According to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, a car got stuck on the track when the driver attempted to turn at the intersection of E Willow Drive and S Pacific Street just before 4:00 a.m. in the Village of Spencer.

The driver exited the vehicle before a train came through.

The car was cleared off the track by 6:00 a.m. There was no damage to the train or to the track.

Authorities say alcohol was not a contributing factor to the incident.
