WAUSAU (WAOW) -
Friday is "Wear Red" for women day. It's a national campaign to bring awareness to the dangers of heart disease.
According to the American Heart association, heart disease is the number one killer of women. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Wear Red campaign.
Organizers say it's an important issue that should lead to a change in lifestyle.
"The reality is that we just want people to be aware. Be aware of your health, take action and spread the word. And that's how, in the end, we will start to spread the movement," American Heart Association Regional Vice President Karla Lodholz said.
