FOREST COUNTY (WAOW) - A Forest County man was arrested and accused of attempted murder in a Town of Armstrong Creek home.
According to a press release from the Forest County Sheriff's Department, a woman called a friend Sunday night around 8:25 p.m. saying that her husband had a gun and he had fired shots in their home. The friend then contacted the sheriff's department.
Forest and Marinette County deputies responded to the home on Dallman Road and were able to make telephone contact with the suspect, Forrest Schaller, according to the release.
Schaller did eventually leave the home where officials arrested him without incident, according to the release.
After Schaller was arrested, police found a woman and child in the home. They were not injured, according to the release.
Schaller is being held in the Forest County Jail.
Deputies are recommending charges of Attempted First Degree Homicide charges as well as other domestic abuse related charges according to the press release.
