LANGLADE COUNTY (WAOW) -- The trial has been set for an Antigo man facing 50 drug charges following an investigation that led to arrests of teachers from Antigo and Merrill.
John Hunter, 34, is charged with 26 counts of manufacturing and delivering cocaine and 24 counts of delivering and manufacturing THC, the main ingredient found in marijuana.
His trial is set to start Aug. 14 in Langlade County Circuit Court.
According to court documents, Hunter distributed marijuana and cocaine in Wausau, Antigo and the Bass Lake area of Langlade County.
Hunter was the 15th person charged in what was described as a local drug ring. Others charged included three former Antigo School District employers and three from the Merrill School District.
Investigators have described Hunter as the leader of the drug ring.
