MERRILL (WAOW) _ Three superintendents from northern Wisconsin or Minnesota are finalists to become Merrill School District's next superintendent.
The Merrill School Board was to interview the finalists Tuesday but was not expected to make a final decision until Feb. 18, school officials said.
The finalists are:
- Walter Leipart, superintendent and director of instruction for the Phillips School District since July 2008.
- Rick Linnell, superintendent of Pequot Lakes, Minn., Public School since 2006.
- Tom Suchomel Woznicki, the superintendent of the Florence School District since 2009.
There were 12 applicants for the job, school officials said.
