The annual Wausau Home Show kicked off at the Patriot Center in Rothschild.
More than 50 exhibitors have set up for the event.
Organizers say the three day show gives community members the chance to talk with professionals in the building industry.
They can learn more about home improvement projects indoors and outdoors. Organizers say they anticipate a big crowd.
"This is the one place where you can walk in the door meet a variety of different people, you've probably researched them, you probably looked up the topic but here's where you can actually come down meet that contractor, see if you can get along with them, see things eye to eye, share ideas and walk out the door having a feel for whether or not you can actually work together," said
The event runs until Sunday. It costs five dollars at the door.
