UPDATE: Some alerts expire as sloppy system churns northeastward - WAOW - Newsline 9, Wausau News, Weather, Sports

After several hours of a dynamic winter storm working across the state, the National Weather Service has allowed some of the previously issued winter weather advisories to expire, and added some new wind advisories.

A wind advisory will be active for Adams, Juneau and Jackson Counties from midnight to 3 p.m. Monday afternoon. 

Because of the temperature profile in the atmosphere, the National Weather Service dropped the winter weather advisory for Marathon, Wood, Portage, Shawano, Waupaca, Waushara, Taylor, Jackson, Adams and Juneau Counties.

Winter weather advisories will remain active until 10 a.m. Monday for Vilas, Oneida, Forest and Florence Counties. 

A winter storm warning will remain active for Price, Ashland and Iron Counties until 6 a.m. Monday night. 

The worst of Sunday's winter storm has passed for the majority of the region.  It provided a wide array of impacts including dropping .4" of rain in Whiting, 1.5" of snow in Tomahawk and several hours of freezing rain across Marathon, Wood and Portage Counties.
