Governor Scott Walker says he hopes the state can attract a buyer to keep jobs at the Wausau Paper mills that are up for sale.
During a stop in the Northwoods Monday, Governor Walker said keeping those jobs in Mosinee and Rhinelander is a first priority in the search for a buyer.
He tells Newsline 9 he's making every effort to help.
"Whatever potential buyer would be in those sites that we'd be in a position to offer them not only incentives but other things to make sure those jobs stay in Rhinelander and Mosinee, that's our commitment," said Governor Walker.
Both the mills in Mosinee and Rhinelander were put up for sale last month along with another mill in Minnesota.
