Administrator Todd Kuckkahn said Wednesday that no circumstances surrounding the death of Joey Miller were being released other than he died in school. St. Peter's is a Roman Catholic school. "We are shocked and saddened," Kuckkahn said. WAUSAU (WAOW) - Governor Scott Walker made a stop in central Wisconsin Tuesday.
He and Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen were at the Marathon County courthouse discussing the law enforcement budget.
Both want DNA samples taken from anyone charged with a felony or serious misdemeanor.
The parents of Marshfield native Brittany Zimmermann support the idea. Zimmermann was murdered in her Madison apartment five years ago. Authorities still don't know who killed her.
"We really hope this will become a part of the state DOJ system and that it will help us find the person that took our daughters life," said Jean Zimmermann.
The governor and attorney general also want increased funding to fight internet crimes in the 2013-2015 budget.
