MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -
A plea hearing is now scheduled for the Marshfield man accused of using his cell phone to record a 15-year-old girl changing in a hotel bathroom.
Joseph Wright, 29, is charged with capturing an image of nudity and invading privacy, using a surveillance device. Police say he placed his cell phone in a bathroom stall of a woman's bathroom at hotel in Marshfield, while he was an employee.
Police say the Wright reported that his cell phone was missing from the front desk of the hotel on the same day, according to the criminal complaint. Detectives also found video of a man, that they said resembled Wright, setting the phone down and running out of the bathroom stall, according to the complaint.
A manager at the hotel says Wright is no longer an employee there, and the hotel is improving its security to prevent this from happening again.
Wright's plea hearing is scheduled for March.
