Wausau street crews keeping an eye on snowbank heights

Crews have been working to keep snow off the roads. But now, there's plenty on the curb.

Wausau Street Department officials said although the snowbanks are getting quite high and making for tough visibility in some spots, they won't be removing a lot of snow.

Officials said instead, they're waiting for warm temperatures to help it melt.

"If they continue to get higher, we'll have some priority streets that's definitely going to be dictated with traffic flow and the height of the bank," said Wausau Street Superintendent, Don Skare.

Wausau Street Department officials said they are focusing on spots where snow banks can make it dangerous to drive.

If you see an area where snowbanks make it difficult to see traffic, they ask you to call the Wausau Public Works office.
