WESTON (WAOW) -
It was a "scary" scene at Dale's Weston Lanes, and it was all for a good cause.
Bowl for Kids' Sake took place Friday evening. People came dressed in their best costumes.
The event raises nearly a third of the yearly funds needed to support matches through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northcentral Wisconsin.
"Money is important to help serve the kids, so this is important for us," said Linda Koepke, BBBS program director. "It starts our year out right."
The money raised is used to ensure child safety through background and reference checks.
Newsline 9 was a sponsor of the event.
