A Wisconsin tradition is in full swing

A Wisconsin tradition is in full swing.

Many people in our area headed out for fish fries on Friday.

Friday fish fries are a tradition in Wisconsin but even more so during lent.

Hiawatha restaurant owners in Wausau say they've been preparing all week for this day.

"For lent we are always a little extra busy than our normal Friday nights because we have the people that have the Catholic tradition every Wednesday through lent so they do come here for fish," said Hiawatha co-owner, Stefanie Jamgochian.

Hiawatha owners say they'll now be serving fish fries every Wednesday through lent.
