Pointers' season ends in mini-game vs. UW-River Falls

UW-River Falls won game 2 of the NCHA quarterfinals, 4-1, and went on to beat UW-Stevens Point in the mini-game to advance to the semifinals.

The Pointers entered Saturday's game against the Falcons with a one-game lead following Friday night's victory. But River Falls scored three goals in the second period to force the deciding mini-game.

Pointers' forward Kyle Heck tied the mini-game at one goal apiece at 12:06. But then Jake Calleja scored with 30 seconds left to give the Falcons a 2-1 lead. River Falls would then add an empty netter to seal the victory.

UWSP ends its season with a record of 15-11-1.
