WAUSAU (WAOW) -
Over the past few years, the non-profit Randlin Homes organization in Wausau has faced financial challenges.
Organization leaders say have made numerous changes to stay on top of those challenges.
Randlin spokesperson Rich Daniells says the latest effort includes the decision to close Bridges of Hope, the Randlin store on Bridge Street. Daniells explains, "It didn't make sense to have two stores within walking distance of each other. So we decided to close the Bridge Street store and concentrate on the 6th Street store, which we own. We did not own the Bridge Street store so we will go out of that business."
Daniells says the store will close February 22, 2013. In addition, he says Randlin will open a warehouse on Stewart Avenue to process donations. Money raised from community donations goes to to help veterans and the homeless.
