Neillsville man charged with bankruptcy fraud

MADISON (WAOW) - A federal grand jury has charged a Neillsville man with concealing assets in a bankruptcy proceeding.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Meredith Duchemin says the indictment handed down Wednesday charges 45-year-old Brett Pohle with concealing nine guns and a camper from creditors and the bankruptcy court in April 2008 and providing a false bill of sale.

Prosecutors say Pohle is also charged with witness tampering.

Duchemin says the maximum punishment for the three charges is 30 years in prison.

Court records do not list an attorney for Pohle.

Pohle's arraignment is March 19, a court official said.
