Kozy Yak Brew Pub in Rosholt is filled with fun, laughter,
and of course a lot of beer.

Kozy Yak Brew Pub Owner Richard Kosiec said.
Kosiec opened the place in august of last year. He says he's
always had a passion for beer. "Wisconsin
But Kosiec says this brew pub has a different feel.
"We don't have music in this place, we don't have a TV,
when you come here, it's a conversation," Kosiec told Newsline 9.
And as the conversations and drinks flow, patrons say
strangers become friends.
"It's almost a community gathering place," Kosiec
All of the beers on tap are made right here—from the
fermenting, to the bottling and kegging. Kosiec even grows some of his own
hops, which make the beer bitter. But some of those creations are only
available for a short time.
"A beer came out last week, a coffee stout that sounded
fantastic, but it was gone right away," Johnson said.
"By having a new beer
that's out every week or two weeks, it brings the people back to try it,"
Those customers do come back, but owners say they get their
fair share of new customers as well.
"About 25 percent of our customers on any given day are
new," Kosiec said.
But how does a small brew pub compete in Central
Wisconsin? Kosiec says it's friendlier than you may think. "It's
a nice relationship between the breweries, especially the ones in Portage County," Kosiec said.
Kosiec says he hopes the future is filled with more brews and
