UPDATE: How much snow fell?


Friday's winter storm dropped more than half of a foot of snow across a handful of locations in Northcentral Wisconsin. 

According to Newsline 9's team of trained weather watchers, preliminary snow totals reveal 7.8" of snow fell in Scandinavia, 7.3" in Almond, 6.5" in Polonia and 6" in Brantwood, Plainfield and Whiting.

Cities in the 5" window include Stevens Point with 5.8", 5.2" in Plover, and Rib Mountain, Wausau, Nekoosa, Big Flats and City Point picking up 5". 

Early totals reported before the end of the storm include 3.5" in Rhinelander, 4.75" in Necedah, 4" in Marshfield, 4.3" in Arkdale, 4.5" in Prentice and Elton and 3.75" in Kronenwetter.

All snowfall totals are subject to be revised upward when final storm total measurements are taken.
