Snowshoers went head to head for the sixth annual Stomp the Swamp race at Nine Mile Forest Sunday.
Organizers said the conditions on the trails were perfect for the competition after more snow fell this week.
People came dressed to win, some even wearing kilts, to take on six and 12 kilometer trails.
Organizers said the race has grown over the years.
"You run slower, your legs hurt more, because you're lifting way heavier shoes, it's a good workout, it's definitely a good workout," said Race Director, C.J. Snowshoe.
Organizers say more than 100 people participated in today's event.
