Shot fired on Wausau's west side early Monday

Wausau police are looking for suspects, after a shot was fired on the west side of the city. Law enforcement says it happened early Monday morning, on North 10th Ave.

They say a man, wearing a ski mask, tried to rob someone. Officials say when the victim ran away, the suspect fired a shot.

"After the shot was fired, the victim was already in the process of running away and the person who fired the shot also left from the area immediately," Wausau Deputy Police Chief Bryan Hilts said.
