Local parents get answers about college

Local parents of high school juniors and seniors were able to get some answers about sending their kids off to college.

An information session known as "Parents Night" was held Thursday at UW-Marathon County. Members of UWMC's students services department along with faculty members and current students shared all the ins and outs of college life, the cost of college, available support services, and more.

"We want students who are coming in to feel comfortable and, sort of, know the timeline and get comfortable with, have the ability to ask professors some questions," said Brian Kalish, UWMC High School Relations Coordinator. "They'll talk to some of the students that are here to get a feel for their first year, what that's going to be like."

Parents also had the opportunity to tour the campus.
