Wausau East High School students were feeling the blues Friday.

Dozens of students packed the auditorium at the high school to hear
Alex "Crankshaft" Larson and the Gear Grinders Blues Band from Minneapolis perform.
It's for the annual Blues in Schools event.
"It was a great opportunity for them to experience a style we don't always get to in the public schools it was a great outreach opportunity for our kids just to hear some people making music and than be able to ask questions and get a better understanding of the blues," said Wausau East Band Director, Rob Perkins.
The band performed for about an hour.
