NEW YORK (AP) -
The director of programming at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York is stepping down less than a year after being named to the position.
Lincoln Center made the announcement Monday, saying Robert Koehler is leaving the Film Society to return to Los Angeles to focus on personal matters. Film journalist and critic Dennis Lim has been named as his replacement.
As year-round director of programming, Lim shares programming duties with Kent Jones, who programs the Film Society's annual New York Film Festival. Before Jones and Koehler's dual appointment last fall, Richard Pena oversaw all programming for the previous 25 years.
Lim was film editor for The Village Voice from 2000 to 2006. He also served on the New York Film Festival selection committee from 2009 to 2011.
